Mapping the Big Apple is now closed. The maps are archived here for posterity.
Mapping the Big Apple presents a diverse range of visions of New York from artists around the world.
New York is familiar to us all from TV and film. The artists were challenged to present their map of the city in a contest run through the Cartographers’ Guild. The exhibits range from maps of the original New Amsterdam fort to a topographical history of the birth of Hip Hop.
The exhibition was on show at the Soho Gallery for Digital Art, 138 Sullivan Street, New York and it ran until March 16th 2011.
